CIAO FUTURO! FIAT at Milano Design Week
FIAT will proudly be present at Milano Design Week 2026 with a dedicated space “CIAO FUTURO!”, that represents its vision of the future of mobility as a socially relevant, cultural and design-driven experience, reaffirming its unique role in shaping urban life across generations.
As undisputed queen of urban mobility, FIAT pulls visitors into a dream across time, a journey that connects past, present and future through the evolution of cities and the people who live in them.
CIAO FUTURO! is both a greeting and a promise – a way of looking ahead while staying deeply connected to where everything began. Set at Magna Pars, in Milan’s Tortona district, the space unfolds as an immersive experience centered on FIAT’s Design DNA and the enduring link between past, present and future in the small cars segment. At its core, a symbolic tunnel guides visitors through a factual and evocative narrative of FIAT’s social and urban relevance, showing how FIAT has kept cities moving – and how cities, in turn, have evolved through FIAT.
As part of the experience, two iconic vehicles emblematic of FIAT’s approach to democratic, intelligent design will be on display. Visitors will be able to discover a 1957 Fiat 500, known as “Nuova” to distinguish it from the very first Fiat 500 of 1936, the legendary Topolino. Alongside it, FIAT will also showcase a 1980s Fiat Panda, a manifesto of essential, clever and human-centered design.
As part of CIAO FUTURO!, FIAT also unveils the three finalist small car projects developed by students from IED and ISIA, selected as bold interpretations of what mobility could become next. Conceived as a full design journey grounded in FIAT’s values of compactness, strong personality and unmistakable DNA, the initiative reflects a dialogue between heritage and innovation, passing the brand’s philosophy to a new generation of designers. During the public opening days, visitors will be invited to discover the projects and vote for their favorite, actively participating in an open dialogue on design, creativity and future urban living.
The program opens on April 21st with a dedicated press event, exploring FIAT’s vision for the future of mobility, its leadership in the small cars segment, and the evolution of the brand’s social, cultural and creative positioning. Following the press event, the space will be open to the public from 6 pm April 21st to April 26th. Daily opening hours will be from 10 am to 8 pm.
