FIAT is proud to announce that the Grande Panda has been selected among the seven finalists for the prestigious Car of the Year 2026 award.
Out of 35 contenders, the 60 jury members from 23 European countries have chosen the models they consider most deserving of the continental title. After the first major evaluation phase during the Tannistest in Denmark last September, the finalists have now been officially revealed, and the Fiat Grande Panda stands proudly among them.
The Grande Panda is more than just a car; it is the foundation of a new global vehicle family. From the first sketches to its launch, the Grande Panda offers a concretely pragmatic and inclusively affordable solution for worldwide audiences. With its compact dimensions and unmistakable personality, it reflects FIAT’s core values of functionality, sustainability, and emotional design.
Inspired by the mobility spirit of the original 1980s Panda, the model features bold proportions, strong lines, and signature styling elements such as pixel-style LED headlamps, cube-shaped rear lights, and the distinctive 3D “PANDA” lettering on the doors. The interior continues this focus on intelligent, people-centered design, offering best-in-class shoulder room, flexible storage options, and intuitive technology tailored for everyday life.
Embodying FIAT’s mission to offer freedom of choice to everyone, the Grande Panda is available with a complete lineup of powertrains - petrol, hybrid and electric - meeting the diverse needs of B-segment customers across every market. As a global car, Grande Panda also allows to leverage production synergies across different countries: after the launch in Serbia, production will also start in Algeria in December 2025, followed by South America in 2026.
As the competition moves toward its final voting phase, FIAT celebrates this recognition as a testament to the brand’s enduring innovation and passion for creating cars that make life better, for everyone. But what unites all versions of the Grande Panda is a clear design philosophy.
